********* PITTSBURGH MONTHLY SUMMARY **********

The Pittsburgh PA climate summary for the month  of July, 2024.  The
maximum temperature for the period was 94.  The record maximum
temperature is 103 degrees which was last set in 1988.  The minimum
temperature for the period was 54.  The record minimum temperature
is 42 degrees which was set in 1963.  The average temperature was
76.5 degrees which is 3.3 degrees above the normal average
temperature of 73.2 degrees.  The maximum temperature exceeded 90
degrees on 11 days this period.  The minimum temperature did not
fall below 32 degrees.  A total of 3.17 inches of precipitation fell
during the period which is 1.09 inches below the normal amount of
4.26.  No snow fell during the period which is normal.  There were
no heating degree days this period which is 3 below the normal
amount of 3 days.  There were 364 cooling degree days this period
which is 108 above the normal amount of 256 days.  The maximum wind
was 29 miles per hour from the southwest and occurred on July 10.
The maximum wind gust was 47 miles per hour from the southwest and
occurred on July 10.
