  Girardeau, Perry, Jackson, Alexander and Union Counties.

  Mississippi River at Thebes affecting Alexander and Scott
  Counties.

For the Mississippi River...including Cape Girardeau, Thebes...
Moderate flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 31.7 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    this afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 37.5 feet
    Wednesday morning.
  - Flood stage is 32.0 feet.

  - At 11:30 AM CDT Friday the stage was 30.5 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 36.5 feet Wednesday
    morning. It will then fall below flood stage Monday, July 15.
  - Flood stage is 33.0 feet.
