New England continental shelf and slope waters from 25 nm
offshore to the Hague Line, except to 1000 fm south of New
England.

Conditions given represent the highest within that period.

Seas given as significant wave height, which is the average
height of the highest 1/3 of the waves. Individual waves may be
more than twice the significant wave height.

Locally higher winds and seas can be expected in and near tstms.

.SYNOPSIS FOR NEW ENGLAND WATERS...A weakening ridge will persist
across the waters through Mon as Hurricane Ernesto passes SE and
then E of the waters. Long period SE swell from Ernesto will move
into the area today, and continue into Mon night. See the latest
National Hurricane Center advisory on Hurricane Ernesto for more
information. A cold front will move offshore Mon night into Tue,
with a weak area of low pressure developing along the front in
the Gulf of Maine. The front will move E of the waters Tue night
as the low lifts NE into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. A weak
trough will pass E across the waters late Wed or Wed night,
followed by high pressure building E across the waters Thu and
Thu night.
