.SYNOPSIS...Major Hurricane Beryl is near 16.6N 74.4W at 5 AM
EDT, and is moving west-northwest at 17 kt. Maximum sustained
winds are 125 kt with gusts to 150 kt, and the minimum central
pressure is 946 mb. Beryl will move to 17.3N 76.9W this
afternoon, 18.1N 80.4W Thu morning, 18.7N 83.8W Thu afternoon,
19.4N 86.9W Fri morning, move inland over the Yucatan Peninsula
and weaken to a tropical storm near 20.1N 89.5W Fri afternoon.
Meanwhile, for the Atlantic waters moderate to fresh winds will
prevail. Seas to 8 ft there will subside by the end of the week.
Conditions will improve in the Caribbean by the end of the week,
in the wake of Beryl, and a wind surge associated with a strong
tropical wave passing through the area Wed and Thu.
