Maximum sustained winds are 130 kt with gusts 160 kt. Minimum central pressure is 944 MB. Beryl is expected to maintain a WNW motion and pass south of the local islands, reaching near 15.4N 69.1W Tue afternoon, then continue through the Caribbean through late Thu, and in to the Yucatan Peninsula Fri morning. Fresh trades will prevail in the Atlantic waters through Tue, with 5 to 8 ft seas. A tropical storm warning is in effect for the Caribbean waters where conditions should improve Tue night through Wed as Beryl departs the region.
