...Discussion from SFOFWFMTR...

Winds have calmed since yesterday, and are now gusting in the
15-25 mph range at higher elevations. Despite the wind improvement,
this prolonged heat wave will continue to bring very low RH that
will cure and dry the fuels. ERC values are exceeding or
approaching the max moving average for a number of regions.
Conditions are dangerous, and we urge extreme caution.

...Discussion from SFOFWFEKA...

The ongoing heat wave will begin to peak today for the southern
half of the area with highs above 110 and extremely dry RH below
10 percent. Northeast winds gusting up to 20 mph along the rim of
the Sacramento Valley will continue to bring critical fire weather
conditions to southeast Lake County through this evening before
calming. Similar though more isolated northeast winds can be
expected each night over high terrain through Thursday, especially
in the the Klamath Mountains. With such dry conditions, even gentle
terrain winds will promote periods of critical fire weather each
afternoon, especially within wind channeled valleys.
