...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHERN ANOKA...SOUTHWESTERN
ISANTI AND EASTERN SHERBURNE COUNTIES THROUGH 130 AM CDT...

At 1247 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Zimmerman, or 18 miles southwest of Cambridge, moving southeast at 35
mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Coon Rapids, Andover, Ramsey, Elk River, Anoka, Ham Lake, Otsego,
East Bethel, St. Francis, Zimmerman, Princeton, and Oak Grove.

This includes the following highways...
 U.S. Highway 10 in Minnesota between mile markers 210 and 217.
 U.S. Highway 169 between mile markers 159 and 177.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 400 AM CDT for
central and east central Minnesota.
