For the following areas... Pamlico Sound... S of Cape Hatteras NC to Ocracoke Inlet NC out to 20 nm... S of Oregon Inlet NC to Cape Hatteras NC out to 20 nm... At 341 PM EDT, severe thunderstorms capable of producing waterspouts were located along a line extending from 14 nm southeast of Rodanthe to 7 nm north of Cape Hatteras to The Center Of The Pamlico Sound, moving east at 20 knots. HAZARD...Waterspouts, wind gusts to nearly 50 knots, and small hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly higher winds and suddenly higher waves. Locations impacted include...
