Fire Weather Forecast for southern Oregon and northern California
National Weather Service Medford, OR
146 PM PDT Sat Jul 6 2024

...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM PDT THIS EVENING
FOR STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 280, 616,
617, 620, 621, 622, 623, 624 AND 625...

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 2 PM TO 8 PM PDT SUNDAY FOR
STRONG GUSTY WIND AND LOW RH FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 280, 616,
617, 620, 621, 622, 623, AND 624...

.DISCUSSION...Hot, dry and unstable conditions with gusty, breezy
late day winds will persist across inland areas through Tuesday.
Critical fire weather conditions are expected across many inland
areas today and again on Sunday. Though heat and low humidity will
not be as extreme after Monday/Tuesday, they will remain warmer and
drier than normal and breezy winds are likely to remain a concern
through the next week. A weak disturbance as early as Wednesday has
a very low probability (10% or less) for thunderstorms in far
northern California and east of the Oregon Cascades.
