Thunderstorms: Scattered thunderstorms are expected today, with coverage peaking in the afternoon. Slow moving storms could result in localized flooding, particularly for urban areas. Heat: Heat indices may reach 100 to 105 degrees today, with the warmer temperatures being over the interior and southwest portions of the region. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Scattered thunderstorms will be possible each day. The strongest storms could produce gusty winds and heavy downpours. Slow storm motions could also result in localized flooding. A moderate risk for rip currents could develop by the middle of the week, as onshore flow increases. Heat indices over 100 degrees will be possible each day, with peak values up to 110 possible for SW and Interior Florida late this week into the upcoming weekend. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
