...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT EASTERN EDDY AND SOUTHWESTERN
LEA COUNTIES THROUGH 530 PM MDT...

At 444 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 17
miles west of Eunice Airport, or 21 miles west of Eunice, moving west
at 5 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of eastern Eddy and
southwestern Lea Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement
agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service
office in Midland.
