Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
335 AM CDT Sun Jul 7 2024

.DISCUSSION...

This afternoon features the driest day of the week with critical
RH expected for the western half of the region. Even still, light
winds keep fire concerns low for today and throughout the week. A
stray thunderstorm or two is possible over the Davis Mountains
today with more widely scattered thunderstorms possible across the
area on Monday as a cold front pushes through. Storm chances
gradually decrease throughout the week and become more confined to
the western high terrain.
