...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN LUBBOCK...WESTERN
FLOYD...EASTERN HALE AND SOUTHEASTERN SWISHER COUNTIES THROUGH 1000
PM CDT...

At 932 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 5 miles north of Kress to 5 miles southeast of
Plainview to 3 miles west of Lubbock International Airport. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Lubbock, Plainview, Abernathy, Hale Center, Lockney, Petersburg,
Kress, Claytonville, Aiken, Seth Ward, and New Deal.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
