.NOW...
Through 9 pm...isolated showers and thunderstorms will persist
across the southwest South Plains, primarily over parts of Yoakum
County and adjacent portions of Terry, Hockley and Cochran
Counties. The strongest activity will produce lightning, brief
downpours and wind gusts in excess of 45 mph. At 8 pm, the
strongest storm was located 5 miles north of Bronco, and was
moving northeast at 20 mph. If you hear thunder, take shelter
indoors or in a hard-topped vehicle and wait for the storm to
pass.
