Through 1230 AM CDT: Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to move northeastward at around 25-30 mph across portions of the South Plains and extreme southern Texas Panhandle. These cells will be capable of producing strong wind gusts in excess of 50 mph; brief, heavy rainfall; and occasional cloud-to-ground lightning. The severe weather threat is low. $$
