449 FLUS44 KLUB 060808 HWOLUB Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Lubbock TX 308 AM CDT Sat Jul 6 2024 TXZ021>044-070815- Parmer-Castro-Swisher-Briscoe-Hall-Childress-Bailey-Lamb-Hale-Floyd- Motley-Cottle-Cochran-Hockley-Lubbock-Crosby-Dickens-King-Yoakum- Terry-Lynn-Garza-Kent-Stonewall- 308 AM CDT Sat Jul 6 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle. .DAY ONE...Today and tonight. Isolated thunderstorms will be possible across portions of the extreme southwestern Texas Panhandle and South Plains this morning. Locally heavy rainfall will accompany the strongest storms and the severe weather threat is low. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. A strong cold front will move through the region late Sunday into Monday. There is an increasing potential for heavy rainfall across the Rolling Plains on Sunday night with thunderstorm chances extending onto the Caprock Escarpment as the cold front moves southward. This will lead to a risk for flash flooding, especially across the Rolling Plains. Some storms may also be severe with damaging winds being the primary hazard. Additional chances for thunderstorms remain forecast across the Caprock and Rolling Plains on Monday to Wednesday. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT... Spotter activation is not expected at this time. $$
