...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM CDT THIS MORNING...
...REPLACES FLASH FLOOD WARNING...

* WHAT...Urban areas and small streams flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of central Missouri, including the following
  counties, Boone and Callaway.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Low-water
  crossings are inundated with water and may not be passable. It
  will take several hours for all the water from these storms to
  work through local drainage systems in urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 740 AM CDT, emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to thunderstorms. Flooding is ongoing or
    expected to begin shortly. Between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Columbia, Jefferson City, Fulton, Ashland, Holts Summit,
    Columbia Regional Airport, Hallsville, Auxvasse, New
    Bloomfield, Lake Mykee Town, Rocheport, Murry, Lake Mykee,
    Easley, Williamsburg, Midway, Shamrock, Mokane, Kingdom City
    and Hartsburg.
  - This includes the following State Parks...
    Rock Bridge State Park, Finger Lakes State Park and Jewell
    Cemetery Historic Site.

    This includes Interstate 70 in Missouri between exits 115 and
    161.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
