In east central Missouri, Gasconade. * WHEN...Until 415 AM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 118 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Jefferson City, Owensville, Hermann, Linn, Wardsville, Taos, Bland, Freeburg, Rosebud, Chamois, Westphalia, St. Thomas, Rich Fountain, Mount Sterling, Drake, Swiss, Brazito, Hickory Hill, Meta and Gasconade. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
