...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 545 AM CDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Urban area and small stream flooding caused by excessive
  rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and east central Missouri, including
  the following counties, in central Missouri, southeastern Audrain,
  southern Boone, Callaway, northwestern Cole and Moniteau. In east
  central Missouri, Montgomery.

* WHEN...Until 545 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Water over roadways. Some low-water crossings may become
  impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 244 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream
    flooding.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Columbia, Jefferson City, Fulton, Mexico, California,
    Ashland, Tipton, Holts Summit, Montgomery City, Wellsville,
    Columbia Regional Airport, St. Martins, Auxvasse,
    Russellville, New Florence, Jonesburg, New Bloomfield,
    Bellflower, Jamestown and Lake Mykee Town.


PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
