  forecast.

* WHERE...Mississippi River at Alton.

* WHEN...Until late Thursday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 25.5 feet, Highway 100 will begin flooding at Clifton
  Terrace Street within 2 feet of this height.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 11:00 AM CDT Friday the stage was 21.6 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 11:00 AM CDT Friday was 21.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 25.2
    feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Thursday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 21.0 feet.

  road to Kaskaskia Lock inundated.

  Park is flooded.
