971 FZUS54 KLCH 030900 CWFLCH Coastal Waters Forecast National Weather Service Lake Charles LA 400 AM CDT Wed Jul 3 2024 Coastal waters from the Lower Atchafalaya River LA to High Island TX out 60 nautical miles including Sabine and Calcasieu Lakes and Vermilion and Cote Blanche Bays Seas are provided as a range of the average height of the highest one third of the waves, along with the occasional height of the average highest ten percent of the waves. GMZ400-032130- 400 AM CDT Wed Jul 3 2024 .SYNOPSIS... Nocturnal showers have started developing over coastal waters. This trend will continue through the morning as a weak easterly wave moves inland on the Louisiana coastline. A widespread coverage of showers and thunderstorms can be expected with heavy downpours, gusty winds and lightning in and near thunderstorms. Weakness aloft is established Thursday and beyond allowing for the return of normal diurnally driven showers and thunderstorms. Light to occasionally moderate onshore flow and low seas will prevail through the remainder of the work week.
