Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Western
and North Central for Nebraska
National Weather Service North Platte NE
238 PM CDT Fri Jul 19 2024

.DISCUSSION...
Showers and thunderstorms across western and north central
Nebraska during the next 7 days are expected to produce total
rainfall of up to an inch across north central Nebraska and less
than an inch across western Nebraska. Locally heavier amounts are
to be expected and the best chance for rain during the next 7
days is tonight.

A cold front will move through the region tonight and cool air
will remain across the area through Tuesday. Warmer air will
gradually build into western and north central Nebraska Wednesday
through Friday.

Fire weather concerns will be limited to dry lightning across
areas which miss out on the beneficial rainfall tonight.
