...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1230 AM MDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Nebraska, including the following
  county, Perkins.

* WHEN...Until 1230 AM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 941 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing. Between 2 and 3
    inches of rain have fallen.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected.
  - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
    Venango, Brandon and Wild Horse Spring.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
