.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1105 PM EDT Sat Aug 10 2024

A much different evening for the Florida Keys compared to 24 hours
ago. Hardly anything has managed to develop across our CWA. There
was one brief shower that developed off a remnant boundary north
and northwest of Key West but it quickly fizzled away. Meanwhile,
subtropical ridge axis lies near or just north of the island
chain, maintaining easterly winds.

Going through the overnight, BL moisture will interact with
nocturnal diurnal processes and could spawn some light scattered
showers in the easterly flow. Given that these showers may not
develop until closer to sunrise, see no need to deviate from the
20 Percent currently in place. Otherwise, wind directions will
fluctuate between northeast and southeast.

.MARINE...
Issued at 1105 PM EDT Sat Aug 10 2024

The western extent of the subtropical ridge axis will continue to
extend north of Keys coastal waters. Gentle to moderate easterly
breezes will dominate through Wednesday night as the ridge axis
remains over the Florida Peninsula. Expect slackening breezes and
a gradual shift to northerlies on Thursday as a weak front moves
south from the continental United States into central Florida.

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 1105 PM EDT Sat Aug 10 2024

VFR conditions will prevail through the TAF period. Looking for
isolated to scattered showers to develop in the easterly flow and
therefore have inserted a VCSH. Otherwise, winds will remain
generally from the east with some deviations to the northeast and
southeast at times.
