.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 1030 PM EDT Sun Jun 29 2025

A surface Atlantic ridge extends westward across Florida,
resulting in gentle to moderate easterly breezes across the Keys
this evening. Meanwhile, an upper level Low is rolling slowly
westward across the Bahamas. This has contributed to weakness in
the lower level ridge and associated weak troughing aligned over
the Bahamas. This evenings sounding indicated the Saharan dust is
virtually gone. With that said, there was ample CAPE, limited
inhibition based around 950 mb, and near normal precipitable
water. Overall, the environment has been supportive of only a few
showers and thunderstorms. Activity has tended to be small and
short lived.

Surface ridging will hold across Florida through the overnight
period, keeping breezes mostly gentle easterlies. The lower level
troughing, associated with the approaching upper level low, will
remain off to our east through the night. Forecast soundings
suggest lower level inhibition will persist. As a result, despite
precipitable water climbing modestly, more than sufficient CAPE,
and healthy boundary layer flow, activity should remain isolated.
Skies will generally remain mostly cloudy thanks to copious cirrus
wrapping around the upper lows western flank. Expect overnight
lows in the lower 80s and dew points holding in the mid 70s.

produce gentle to moderate easterly breezes on Keys waters through
the overnight period. Essentially no changes made in the evening

.AVIATION...
(00Z TAFS)
Issued at 1030 PM EDT Sun Jun 29 2025

VFR conditions will prevail at the island terminals. With that
said, isolated activity across the area may result in brief sub
VFR conditions and a thunderstorm cannot be ruled out. Surface
winds will be gentle out of the east.
