427 WGUS83 KJKL 201545 FLSJKL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Jackson KY 1145 AM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024 KYC109-189-201730- /O.CON.KJKL.FA.Y.0051.000000T0000Z-240720T1730Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Jackson KY-Owsley KY- 1145 AM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following counties, Jackson and Owsley. * WHEN...Until 130 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1145 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow moving showers. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.1 inches are expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Booneville, Sturgeon, Endee, Blake, Green Hall, Elian, Nathanton, Major, Mummie, Turin, Herd, Privett, Chestnut Gap, Zekes Point, Eversole, Tyner, Mildred, Gray Hawk and Lerose.
