349 WGUS83 KJKL 201721 FLSJKL Flood Advisory National Weather Service Jackson KY 121 PM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024 KYC195-202030- /O.NEW.KJKL.FA.Y.0052.240720T1721Z-240720T2030Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Pike KY- 121 PM EDT Sat Jul 20 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 430 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Kentucky, including the following county, Pike. * WHEN...Until 430 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 121 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Rockhouse, Marrowbone, Lookout, Garden Village, Belcher and Dorton.
