Widely scattered showers and storms were impacting parts of
central and eastern Kansas early this morning. Gusty winds and
brief heavy rain were common under the heaviest activity. Early
morning temperatures ranged from near 60 in western Kansas to the
lower 70s in south central and southeast Kansas.

Warmer conditions will overspread the region today. Light
southerly winds and partly to mostly sunny conditions will allow
highs to climb into the mid and upper 90s for all but northeast
Kansas where highs will top out in the upper 80s. Isolated
afternoon storms will be possible in eastern Kansas.

A few showers may linger over eastern Kansas this evening and
tonight. Lows temperatures are forecast to fall into the mid 60s
over northwest Kansas while much of eastern Kansas will see lows
in the lower 70s.
