...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT PHELPS...NORTHWESTERN ADAMS...
KEARNEY...NORTHEASTERN GOSPER...BUFFALO...SOUTHEASTERN DAWSON AND
HALL COUNTIES THROUGH 830 PM CDT...

At 747 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Poole to near Kearney to Bertrand.
Movement was east at 75 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Strong thunderstorms will be near...
  Kearney, Holdrege, and Gibbon around 755 PM CDT.
  Shelton, Cairo, Axtell, and Funk around 800 PM CDT.
  Minden, Wood River, Kenesaw, Alda, Heartwell, and Prosser around
  805 PM CDT.

Other locations in the path of these storms include Grand Island and
Norman.

This includes Interstate 80 between mile markers 241 and 309.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight CDT for
south central and central Nebraska.
