207 FLUS43 KGID 300031 HWOGID Hazardous Weather Outlook National Weather Service Hastings NE 731 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 KSZ005>007-017>019-010045- Phillips-Smith-Jewell-Rooks-Osborne-Mitchell- 731 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of north central Kansas. .DAY ONE...Overnight. Very late tonight/early Sunday morning, mainly after 4 AM, there is a slight chance that a spotty thunderstorm or two could creep into mainly Rooks and Osborne counties. Even if any storms were to occur, they would be quite weak. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Intermittent thunderstorm chances return to various parts of our area Sunday through Friday, including Independence Day. The main time frame of concern for possible severe storms currently appears to be late Monday afternoon into Monday night. Large hail, damaging winds, and a few tornadoes will be possible. Locally heavy rain could also become a concern next week, especially for areas that experience multiple rounds of rain. Hot weather makes a return Monday and Tuesday, particularly for counties along and south of the Nebraska-Kansas border, where heat index readings of at least 100 to 105 degrees are most favored. A Heat Advisory may eventually be issued for these areas, especially given the potential for very little relief from the heat Monday night. && More information may be obtained at the following web page: https://www.weather.gov/hastings $$ NEZ039>041-046>049-060>064-072>077-082>087-010045- Valley-Greeley-Nance-Sherman-Howard-Merrick-Polk-Dawson-Buffalo- Hall-Hamilton-York-Gosper-Phelps-Kearney-Adams-Clay-Fillmore- Furnas-Harlan-Franklin-Webster-Nuckolls-Thayer- 731 PM CDT Sat Jun 29 2024 This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for all of south central Nebraska. .DAY ONE...Overnight.
