This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for south central Nebraska and
portions of north central Kansas.

.DAY ONE...This Afternoon and Tonight.

A few isolated strong to severe thunderstorms will be possible
this afternoon and evening across portions of the area. If any
stronger storms are able to develop, hail near the size of
quarters and wind gusts to around 60 MPH would be the main
concerns. Heavy rainfall associated with thunderstorms could pose
some flooding problems for areas that have had a few inches of
rain over the past few days.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

On Wednesday, chances for thunderstorms linger into the daytime
hours, but better chances spread across the outlook area
Wednesday evening into the overnight hours. There will be the
potential for some of these evening and overnight storms to be
strong to severe. Hail near the size of quarters and wind gusts
near 60 MPH would be the primary hazards.

For Thursday, Independence Day, chances for thunderstorms remain
in the forecast, but are expected to be during the morning and
early afternoon hours...ending by evening for fireworks
activities. Severe weather is currently not anticipated.

Periodic thunderstorm chances return to the forecast for Saturday
through Monday.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
Spotters are encouraged to report any severe weather or flooding
that might occur later this afternoon and early evening.
