Potential for at least scattered showers and thunderstorms will be present during the daytime hours today, as another upper level disturbance moves through the area. While winds early this morning are light/variable, this disturbance moving through today will be pushing a frontal boundary south through the area, ushering in a a switch to northerly winds. Speeds around 10-15 MPH are expected, but occasional gusts closer to 20 MPH will be possible this afternoon. There will be the potential for some storms to be strong to severe this afternoon-early evening, mainly along and south of a line from Geneva to Phillipsburg. High temperatures are expected to reach the mid 70s-low 80s for most of our Nebraska counties, with mid 80s-low 90s closer to/south of the NE-KS state line.
