...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 230 AM CDT TUESDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of central and south central Nebraska, including
  the following counties, in central Nebraska, Sherman. In south
  central Nebraska, Buffalo, Dawson, Furnas, Gosper, Hall, Harlan,
  Kearney and Phelps.

* WHEN...Until 230 AM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
  Emergency management reported street flooding in Gibbon.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 829 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
    thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
    shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain
    have fallen.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible
    over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
    flooding.
  - Some locations that may experience flooding include...
    Kearney, Holdrege, Gibbon, Ravenna, Shelton, Elm Creek,
    Cairo, Oxford, Bertrand, Axtell, Overton, Odessa, Loomis,
    Pleasanton, Amherst, Funk, Riverdale, Miller, Edison and
    Atlanta.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
