Dangerous heat is expected this afternoon with heat index values up to 112 degrees for some locations. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Oppressive heat will persist into next week with heat index values between 105 and 112 degrees each day. There is a low chance for thunderstorms on Sunday for areas near the Red River.
