Significant fire weather concerns are not expected through Friday. Southerly winds (3 to 8 mph) are expected in northern and central Georgia on Thursday, then on Friday winds will take on a more southwesterly direction (still 3 to 8 mph). Minimum humidity values should remain at or above 45 percent through Friday. Conditions will continue to feel oppressive with heat index values above 100 degrees each afternoon.
