...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTH CENTRAL SIERRA AND
NORTHWESTERN DONA ANA COUNTIES THROUGH 545 PM MDT...

At 519 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Derry, moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Arrey, Caballo, Derry, Garfield, Lower Animas Creek, and Caballo
Lake.

This includes Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 46 and
63.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
