...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL DONA ANA COUNTY THROUGH
615 PM MDT...

At 548 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 7
miles northwest of Organ, moving northwest at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Leasburg, Jornada Range, Dona Ana, Organ, East Mesa, Portions of
Jornada Experimental Range, Hill, Northeast Las Cruces, and Portions
of Organ Mountains Desert Peaks National Monument.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 25 in New Mexico between mile markers 11 and 17.
 Highway 70 in New Mexico between mile markers 154 and 163.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
