Winds then weaken Thursday night and turn back to the NW Friday. Stratus is forecast to develop along the coast between Shelter Cove and Pt. Reyes tonight, with a very shallow layer of fog possibly forming offshore. South winds likely advect any forming stratus northward toward the Lost Coast late tonight...although models are incoherent on where stratus may form, so its arrival time is uncertain (if it arrives at all). Should stratus reach the Cove, the most likely arrival time is early Thursday morning. Light winds and model dissonance make the cloud forecast for Thurs highly uncertain...although the potential for a southerly surge exists. If the cloud forms and moves onshore in the morning, guidance is split on the potential for clearing Thursday afternoon...however if cloud forms it likely will stick around and move back onshore Thursday evening. .REST OF TONIGHT...
