The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Northeastern Rock Island County in northwestern Illinois...
  Southwestern Whiteside County in northwestern Illinois...
  Northwestern Henry County in northwestern Illinois...

* Until 1115 PM CDT.

* At 1026 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Park View,
  or near Bettendorf, moving southeast at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to
           mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

* This severe thunderstorm will be near...
  Moline, East Moline, Silvis, Hampton, Port Byron, Rapids City,
  Cordova, Carbon Cliff, Campbells Island, and Silvis Heights around
  1030 PM CDT.
  Colona, Cleveland, Osborn, Dayton, Joslin, and Rock Island County
  Fairgrounds around 1035 PM CDT.
  Hillsdale, Shady Beach, and Green River around 1040 PM CDT.
  Geneseo around 1045 PM CDT.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 80 in Illinois between mile markers 1 and 24.
 Interstate 74 in Illinois between mile markers 9 and 16.
 Interstate 88 between mile markers 1 and 13.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly
from severe thunderstorms. If you spot a tornado go at once into the
basement or small central room in a sturdy structure.

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
sturdy building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
