Flood Warning for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Rock River at Como affecting Whiteside County.

...Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Major severity and
increased in duration for the following rivers in Illinois...

  Rock River near Joslin affecting Henry IL, Whiteside and Rock
  Island Counties.

  Rock River at Moline affecting Henry IL and Rock Island Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

The next statement will be issued by Tuesday morning at 745 AM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM LATE TONIGHT TO SATURDAY MORNING...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Rock River at Como.

* WHEN...From late tonight to Saturday morning.

* IMPACTS...At 15.6 feet, Blue Goose Road near Anderson Road east of
  Lyndon is overtopped and south of Como, water is encroaching onto
  Prophetstown Road west of Luther Road.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 10.7 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The river is rising rapidly.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    just after midnight tonight to a crest of 14.7 feet early
    Wednesday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
    Friday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.5 feet.

* IMPACTS...At 17.5 feet, Water is across Broadway at Jackson Street
  in Cleveland.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 6:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 11.6 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late this morning and continue rising to a crest of 17.3 feet
    early Thursday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

* WHEN...From Tuesday afternoon until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 15.0 feet, Water affects business parking lots on
  52nd Avenue in Moline. Water also affects most homes on South
  Shore Drive and North Shore Drive.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 7:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 10.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    early tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of
    14.7 feet Thursday evening.
  - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
