...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Iowa...

  Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S affecting Scott and Clinton
  Counties.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet
and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim,
or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters,
stop, turn around and go another way.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

The next statement will be issued by Wednesday evening at 845 PM CDT.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE...

* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and major flooding is likely to
  occur in the next 48 hours.

* WHERE...Wapsipinicon River near De Witt 4S.

* WHEN...Until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 12.5 feet, Major Flood Stage. Water affects old U.S.
  Highway 61 near the river.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 11.4 feet.
  - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours
    ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 11.4 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 12.5
    feet Friday morning.
  - Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
