698 WGUS82 KCHS 021005 FLSCHS Flood Advisory National Weather Service Charleston SC 605 AM EDT Tue Jul 2 2024 GAC029-051-179-021200- /O.NEW.KCHS.FA.Y.0035.240702T1005Z-240702T1200Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Bryan GA-Chatham GA-Liberty GA- 605 AM EDT Tue Jul 2 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following counties, Bryan, Chatham and Liberty. * WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 604 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Keller, Belfast, Oak Level, Sweet Hill and Ossabaw Island.
