645 WGUS82 KCHS 021052 FLSCHS Flood Advisory National Weather Service Charleston SC 652 AM EDT Tue Jul 2 2024 GAC179-021345- /O.NEW.KCHS.FA.Y.0036.240702T1052Z-240702T1345Z/ /00000.N.ER.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.000000T0000Z.OO/ Liberty GA- 652 AM EDT Tue Jul 2 2024 ...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 945 AM EDT THIS MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...A portion of southeast Georgia, including the following county, Liberty. * WHEN...Until 945 AM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 651 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hinesville, Fort Stewart, McIntosh, Flemington, Liberty Regional Medical Center, Trinity, Mill Creek and Wildwood. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
