...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL ALLEGANY COUNTY THROUGH
600 PM EDT...

At 524 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 8
miles south of Belfast, or 10 miles northwest of Wellsville, moving
northeast at 20 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and torrential downpours.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Brief, torrential downpours will result
         in ponding of water in poor drainage areas.

Locations impacted include...
Friendship, Scio, Belmont, Angelica, Richburg, Birdsall, West
Clarksville, and Knight Creek.

This includes Interstate 86 between exits 29 and 31.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
