...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT NORTHEASTERN CAMERON AND
SOUTHEASTERN WILLACY COUNTIES THROUGH 415 PM CDT...

At 333 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Arroyo City, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Harlingen, Rio Hondo, Arroyo City, Miller Jordan Middle School,
Lozano, Rio Hondo Elementary School, Rio Hondo High School, Downs
Elementary School, Santa Monica, and San Benito Veterans Memorial
Academy.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
