A few secondary roads begin to flood. The Tallapoosa River at Milstead. * At 10:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 15.7 feet. * Action stage is 15.0 feet. * Flood stage is 40.0 feet. * Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.8 feet this afternoon. * Impact...At 15.0 feet...Overflow of pasture lands occurs. Cattle may need to be moved if higher stages are forecast. Another statement will be issued by Tuesday morning, or sooner if conditions warrant. Please stay tuned to NOAA Weather radio or your local media for later statements concerning this event. It is emphasized that these forecasts are based on rainfall that has already occurred and on additional rainfall expected during the next 48 hours.
