...STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WILL IMPACT SENECA...EASTERN YATES...
SOUTHWESTERN CAYUGA AND NORTH CENTRAL TOMPKINS COUNTIES THROUGH 515
PM EDT...

At 451 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Ferguson Corners to Himrod. Movement was
east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Seneca Falls, Waterloo, Penn Yan, Romulus, Fayette, Starkey, Benton,
Covert, Ledyard, and Dundee.

This includes the following highway exits...
 Interstate 90 near 41.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio
stations and available television stations for additional information
and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM EDT for
central New York.
