At 1132 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over Haven, or 8 miles northwest of Middletown, moving east at 35 mph. HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Locations impacted include... Monticello, South Fallsburg, Wurtsboro, Woodridge, Bloomingburg, Haven, Phillipsport, Kiamesha, Rock Hill, and Highview. This includes the following highway exits... Interstate 86/Route 17 between 104 and 114. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Heavy rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to localized flooding.
