Kickapoo River at Viola affecting Richland and Vernon Counties. .The Kickapoo River at Viola crests late tonight and begins to fall during the day on Thursday. There is a roughly a 30 to 40 percent chance that there will be a second crest above flood stage on Friday or Saturday, but such a crest will depend exclusively on how much rain falls on Thursday. The most likely scenario is that any second crest tops out below flood stage. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.
