At 113 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Salem to near Hoosick Falls to Menands.
Movement was east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects.

Locations impacted include...
Troy, Bennington, Cohoes, Watervliet, Hoosick Falls, Arlington,
Salem, Manchester, Latham, Williamstown, Shaftsbury, Pownal, Green
Island, Grafton, Waterford, Berlin, Cambridge, Loudonville, Center
Brunswick, and Manchester Center.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 87 between exits 5 and 7.
 Interstate 787 between exits 8 and 9.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead
to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for
western Massachusetts...east central New York...and southern Vermont.
